Burning Valley

Over-looking the valley of Draper to the distant town of Ogden. The photograph was taken at the top of Sun Crest peak.
A light fog over sees the quite valley portraying a mystical covering. Every street lamp, gas station, building and house is illuminating its own energy, adding to the photograph. A lifeless tree struggling to stay standing, finds itself in a third of my photograph, adding its natural beauty.
Hundreds upon hundreds of people were captured all in one photograph. Do they know they are part of this photo? Probably not.
Everyday we are influencing and changing people's life's, whether we recognize it or not. here are some examples: Driving to work and cutting another driver off, this driver may be angry for the rest of his day and remembering you and what you did. In a more positive example; you may open a door for a stranger going into a building or a restaurant. Even smiling at someone can influence someone beyond measure. You may never see these people ever again and yet you may have made a huge impact in there life.

How many people do you think remember you or remember something you've done?

Anger

Screaming, yelling and pushing to the edge of complete madness. Anger can run through your body at any given moment. In seconds you can go from smiling and laughing to the verge of mass explosion. I think we have all been there when we don't have the slightest clue to why we are pulsing with rage. Growing up playing every physical sport there was; anger was just part of my life. Messing up in the slightest would send me to an instant mood change and usually for the worse. But not always would it be bad. There would sometimes be the moments where when usually I would get mad and walk around with a horrible attitude, but instead I used the situation and the anger to better myself and to use it in a constructive way. This is a very hard thing to do for the average person. It is so much easier to just let yourself go and see where it takes you; rather than getting mad and then composing yourself.

"Anger doesn't build anything but destroys everything" this was said by one of the general authorities of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While you're angry you don't think straight and it is very hard to keep yourself from doing dumb or irrational things. Striving to keep yourself clear of anger and angry situations would be the best thing for a person.

Never Let Go and Always Strive to be Happy.

Snowboarding to Skiing..

Snowboarding or Skiing? It will always be a toss up as long as they both exist. There are die heart boarders out there who say they wouldn't ski in a million years and then there's the skier's who say they won't be caught dead on a board. I have experienced them both first hand and personally they both have there ups and downs. I first started off boarding like any other young teenager did back when they were that age. I would go everyone once in a while and have a blast with my friends. Not until recently have a ever gone as much as I have this year. I can do the rails, i can do the kickers and have a decent amount of control. It took me a long time to get the hang of it but I finally feel comfortable with my board while on the snow. But on the other side.... Skiing. I recently started skiing this year. The very first attempt at skiing was miserable. Trying to stop on my edge instead of snow plowing ( pointing the tips of your ski's together creating a snowplow) I nearly flew off a cliff in the process. I quickly got the hang of it and as soon as I did; I was off. The feeling of going down an icy/snow covered mountain with two things strapped to your feet is like none other. You carve to the right, you carve down back to the left. You don't need to carve at all.

Either on Ski's or a Snowboard; flying down a mountain at those speeds is priceless. Skier's will be skier's and snowboarders will be snowboarders. Get through the small differences and they're basically the same.
Both people are looking for a good time on the slopes.

Snowboarding or Skiing; which do you prefer?

Deplenishing of the World

Why do we destroy the place we call Earth? As time progresses the well being of our world is becoming more polluted and destroyed. Without warning there is going to be an end. It's giving us signs anyway it can, telling us to stop. As I look around the city I grew up in, it doesn't look good. Trees are plowed to the ground, bushes and open plains are being paved over. Driving through the once called, "small and quite town", I soon came to the conclusion that my town will never be the same. The main road of Riverton is a mere wanna-be of the run down, crap city of Las Vegas. Neon signs arising, along with every fast food restaurant known to man. Why is this happening all around the world? What happened to the calm, relaxing sound of the wind blowing through trees and brush?

This photo was taken by Me (Brandon Child) in Sardene Canyon near Logan, Utah. I don't know if it is just me, but wouldn't you enjoy more of the worlds natural beauty similar to this. Why continue to destroy it? Soon places like this are going to nearly impossible to find. And once it is gone, there is no turning back.

If you enjoy the natural beauty of the world and all of its wonders; let others know.

Wisdom Teeth

By hearing someone just mutter, "Wisdom Teeth", the instant cringe automatically comes with it. As you start to evolve from a little kid, everyone around you starts getting there wisdom teeth out and in your mind you know, that your day will soon come. There's always the stories where your friend was in bed for three days, stuck there having their parents feeding them like they are totally incompetent of doing or saying anything a normal person is expected to do. So naturally somewhere in the course of time a world epidemic rumor was spread. This rumor has every young teenager with there wisdom teeth still in tact shaking in there boots. I personally just had the surgery done today to remove all four of my wisdom teeth. I've heard all these terrifying stories before, from my older sister's. But I mean, after all they are my "sisters". I woke up from the anesthesia just fine, supposedly. The strange part was that I can only recall waking up on my couch at home; not knowing how I got there or when. Apparently I was awake and doing some strange things at the time, like taking random pictures of me and sending them. But after eight hours this supposed horrifying surgery; I feel zero pain in my mouth with absolutely no medication. This experience left me with some funny moments and great stories; but where is all this pain I should be enduring? Why isn't my mom feeding me with a baby spoon? Now, I know this isn't the same for everyone. But i'm talking for the average person and about the perfect and average wisdom teeth surgery.

So would you say this rumor about the pain and agony is Fiction? This I will leave you to decide.

Adrenaline

Adrenaline pumping through your veins is an experience all in itself. Us humans are designed to have feeling. Adrenaline is one of the few feelings in the body that people are scared to feel. Some of the things achieved by having adrenaline run through you is unheard of. Excitement, Joy, Strength all come from adrenaline. After having adrenaline rush through every vein in your body, it is almost like being reborn. A new sense of feeling and edgyness. Today after Free Falling off a 30 Foot cliff snowboarding I had the opportunity to experience an adrenaline rush. 10 Feet before the edge of the cliff, I felt shivers run up my back, then a sudden release of pressure as I hit the Snow. I was shaky for the next 5 minutes after that. Everyone should experience an adrenaline rush whether its to this extent or not.

The Beginning

Who chooses our adventures? Why do some have more adventures than others? There are adventures out there for everyone at any given moment. Why do some choose to live a stale and indifferent life? Life is a gift given to us. Personally, adventure is high on my to do list before my life comes to an end. A friend recently told me,"Why live life wondering?" That is a valid question, don't you think? Taking a chance and risking it all is one of the treasured human traits that is so valuable.

Never stand by and watch life pass you by.
