The Cure To Life's Pains

The Cure To Life's Pains

Pain after pain, lashing after lashing, the human body and the spirit that God gave us take blow after blow until eventually they become so weak and degraded that even the spirit itself that's found in each one of us screams out in agony, indicating to us that we can't move on happily and that we are stuck in a never-ending state of misery and guilt.  This is the Lie and Mentality that Satan has for us.  He desires to destroy our hope, faith, happiness and He does it by making us believe that in this world there is nothing that can "cure life's pains".  For this is a lie and the biggest lie that Satan has presented us.

For there is a way, there is a cure where anyone can heal up their wounds no matter how deep they might be.  this cure can only be found under one name and under special conditions.  For Jesus Christ himself gave up his own life in rescue for all Humanity.  Through and only under His name can we receive a cure beyond reach of human flesh.  This eternal cure that the Savior has provided us has its price and for man kind how great is the price.  It requires man kind to wash his garments in His blood; through faith and repentance.  He requires Man to refine his heart and literally turn it over to the Almighty Creator of this World.  For Christ, the best Medic that has and ever will exist asks not for money nor riches nor glory, but simply asks for a Broken Heart and a Contrite Spirit.  He asks for all the Hard Hearted people out there to come unto Him with tears in their eyes, finding themselves in the depths of Humility.  For Christ shall wrap up they wounded soul with arms of loving care and with hands of Godly Power.

For we much come unto Him in order to find complete refuge,
For He, the Living Christ,
Is "The Cure To Life's Pains"

Gods Creation

Gods Creation

As human beings on Planet Earth,
We are capable of doing marvelous things.
We've grown from living in caves,
To having the most elegant houses known to Man Kind.
From using fire,
To being able to capture energy,
And having "light", in the click of a switch.

But what makes all of this possible?
How are we able to grow, learn and overcome challenges?
Where did all of this begin?
Some believe as Human Beings we came from animals,
Others believe we cam from tiny particles,
And gradually have grown into what we call "Human Beings".

But for the rest of you out there,
There is something more.
There is hope, Faith,
And there is refuge.

For someone is out there,
Guiding you in every step you take,
And relieving you of every pain and heartache.

For this "Being" was the perfect sacrifice,
And he is the Christ.
Through Him,
We shall take life to the next level,
Living as "Gods",
Our Final Destination.

Writing Your Own Story

Writing Your Own Story

Life is nothing but a story.
Each person writing their own.
No story will be the same,
Each having victories and Tragedies.

As your life passes you by,
Can you look in the mirror,
And honestly tell yourself,
"I am living a good life."

Are you looking and living for worldly sensations?
That bring joy for only but a moment,
Which leave regret and grief,
When times of reflection fall upon you.

Or are you living life to its finest?
Doing the things,
That bring everlasting happiness and Joy.
How do you react in times of trial and sorrow?
Do you continually search for the good?
Building and strengthening your character.
For in these moments,
You will make yourself,
And determine who you really are.

But everyone has the great gift of "Choice".
It is upon you ,
To make the Choice.
How are you going to write your story?

The Desert Walk Of God

The Desert Walk Of God

We walk in the desert heat,
Searching and Searching,
For someone to teach.
For our souls delighteth,
In the very thought,
Of bringing just one soul unto Him.

They may question us,
"Who is He?"
"And what did He do for me?"
For Christ is the only Begotten son,
And this is what we plea,
That he suffered for you and me.

He is our Brother,
He is our Savior.
And He will always be there,
In those times of need.

For He desires to lead you,
And guide you.
Until that marvelous day when you meet.
For you shall rejoice,
Because of those 2 young men,
That walked in that "Desert Heat".

A helping hand

When you see someone that needs help do you help? Or do you tell yourself someone else will help them?

Boarding the amazing foot and a half of powder up at Beaver Mountain Ski Resort; the day just kept getting better and better. After slicing through perfectly placed powder all day, Trevor, Kevin and I had to call it quits; the resort wouldn't allow us to stay any longer. So we packed up our gear into the Toyota Corolla. Stuck in our parking spot do to the combination of slick tires and the ice underneath those tires, we had to push the car out of the parking spot. The snow had stopped and the clouds disappeared revealing the perfect blue sky.

Cruising down the mountain at normal speeds (for a teenager), we see another car that lost control and hit a snowbank on the side of the road. Seeing that everyone is okay we slowly drive past them in relief that it didn't happen to us.

The snow plows had only gotten the side of the road that led up the canyon, not down.

Everyone in the car was really tired and exhausted from the great day we had. Kevin was sleeping in the front seat while Trevor was driving and i was relaxing in the back by myself when i realized the car was sliding. I opened my eyes quickly, just in time to see that we were about to hit a post off the side of the road and slide off the road if that didn't stop the car. Adrenaline and horror filled my body. I tensed up and froze not willingly closing my eyes. Whamm.. we hit the post but we were still moving, i opened my eyes just a crack to see white snow cover everything in a split second. The car had been buried. Looking to see if everyone is okay, all i could see was expressions of disbelief on my friends faces.

Rolling down the windows was the only way out! As we crawled out of the car windows we see a car has stopped that saw the accident. We hear the sound of another car up ahead on the road. Just by hearing the sound of the high RPM's of the car we knew it was going way to fast for the corner. It swurved out of the way to miss the car that has stopped to help us. In trying to do so, the car spins out of control. Luckily staying on the road.

A couple trucks and cars stopped to make sure everything was okay and to see if there was anything they could do. The car being so deep in snow there was no way we could get it out. Someone there offered us a ride down the canyon to then call a tow truck.

The reason i tell this story is to first off give thanks to the few that stopped to help us in time of need but second to stir your mind and hearts. Would you have stopped and helped us? We all need to reevaluate our willingness to help, in doing so the world will become a better place.

Put yourself in others shoes, would you want the help?

Frosty Days

A frosty breeze runs through the small town of Logan, Utah. Having an inversion cast over the town for a solid three days and three nights. The frost produces itself on anything that dares to withstand the below zero temperatures at night. Due to the unpredictable inversion, the frost has a mind of its' own; staying how ever long it would like. This weather phenomenon is leaving a beautiful scenery for the students attending Utah State University; making memories of yet another beautiful winter at USU.

Stop and Take A Look Around at All The Beautiful Things In Life That Have Been Given To Us.

Boarding And Injuries

One moment you're flying down the perfectly snow covered mountain side; competing with your friends and having the time of your life. Laughing and hoping the day will never go away. Then in seconds your day goes from having an epic day on the slopes to complete and utter disaster. One moment you're seeing your friend disappear into the trees trying to find some wicked back country and the next thing you know a horrifying scream comes from your friend. Rushing over to see what happened, you know with absolute certainty on the look of your friends face that something is terribly wrong.

Letting out the loudest screams imaginable sending the chills down every skier and boarders spine on the mountain, he lies there. Quickly overlooking his body to see whats wrong, we come to realize that the stick that we thought was stuck on his pants was actually his Tibia and Phibia (shin bone) that ripped through his skin and pants. "DO SOMETHING... HELP ME ", he lay there screaming. Stunned for a moment, adrenaline pumping through our veins and in shock, we quickly sent a friend down the mountain for help. Slowly yet swiftly we undid his straps from his bindings as he felt every little touch, even as much as a finger brushing his pants. Screaming for help as loud as our lungs would allow the word quickly spread up the ski lift to ski patrol at the top of the mountain.

Just when it seemed like no one was coming a ski patrol medic was spotted above us skiing down the mountain as if a life were at stake. In great relief he reached us. Cutting off his pant leg to get a better visual on the wound, a massive amount of blood was filling the 8 inch by 3 inch opening in his leg where the shin ripped through. Opening goz and giving us rubber gloves, we were told to apply pressure to the opened wound as he called in for an emergency chopper, ambulence and anyone they could get to help.

Imagine holding the shaking hand of your friend as you wait for further assistance. Talking to him as if he is on the edge of blacking out and praying in-between the frequent questions I had to ask so he would stay conscious. The terrifying screams will haunt us for the rest of our lives as we waited with him for 45 minutes in the trees of beaver mountain. No pain medication of any kind was available. Slow breathing was the best pain reliever available as his body was in the most pain it had ever felt before. Screaming with every touch of his leg he begged for his friend to put him out of his misery and to just knock him out.

It was time to put him on the straight board to bring him down the mountain. The medic warns him of the great amount of pain that he is going to feel for a couple of seconds as the turn him over and slide him on the board. With his eyes showing agony and pain, there was absolutely nothing we could do to help him more. "On three", the medic team says in unison, one, two, THREE. With the medics moving him, he lets out the most terrifying and horrid scream i've ever heard. The sad and scared expressions on each persons face was very visible now.

Wrapping him up like a mummy on the straight board they covered his face as we took one last look at our helpless and hurt friend and the mortified expression on his face. With all of these emotions running through me, I slowly rode down the mountain on my board right next to him, talking to him, giving him the comfort of knowing that he wasn't alone.

So Why are we put through these things in life? The trials we are given are ment to strengthen us and build who we are as a person. I know I have grown and still am growing from this experience even though it was not nearly as drastic or severe as my one Friend; who unfortunately had a nightmare come true that very day.

Keep Your Friends Close And Never Let Go.

Dedicated to Kyle Solomon

I love you man!
